LAVELL LUCAS

Turned Away

Turned away

Blessed running over and highly favored

Reach on over and slap your neighbor

He’ll bring you out, he brought you to it

Won’t He do it, Won’t he do it

We clap and shout,

The choir sings

We sure do love these churchy things

The One looks deeper into your heart

Says I dont know you

From me depart

A tailored suit

and a fancy hat

Then you go back home and act like that

You took his soul,

He took your hand

in pain he cried like half a man

What God has built in forty years

You beat him down, left him in tears

The road got hard,

She paid her dues

She brought home checks

You bought more shoes.

Oh how we hurt the ones we love

then act like angels from above

what will you say

when Jesus asks

Why you act so ugly

Behind the mask

abusive

and hatred

Deceitful and corrupt

The world is dying

Enough is enough

Listen to this Word from God today

From all the foolishness

Please turn away
